Ciboria amentacea (Balbis ex Fr.) Fuckel Cup 0.5–1cm across, cup-shaped or more shallow, especially with age, inner surface light brown, outer similarly coloured and smooth, attached to the substrate by a slender light brown stalk up to 3cm long. Asci 135×9µ. Spores ellipsoid, 7.5–10.5×4.5–6µ. Habitat on fallen alder or willow male catkins. Season early spring. Occasional. Not edible. Found In Europe.
